  • Every ‘body’ is different. What we eat, the way we live our life and our genetics can contribute or determine our state of health.

All of our body systems are interconnected meaning an imbalance in one body system can affect other body systems. Imbalances can be due to a low-nutrient status, stress and other external factors.

Nutritional Medicine takes all of those factors into account to help you prevent and manage acute and chronic health conditions in a safe and effective way.

The aim of a Nutritional Medicine Practitioner is to support and educate the client by providing personalised, evidence-based dietary, lifestyle and supplemental recommendations to facilitate the client to restore and optimise their health and wellbeing.

  • The purpose of the 90 minute initial consultation is to gather as much information as possible about your presenting health issues & concerns.

This includes in-depth questions about your current health conditions, what is occurring in your different body systems, past health and medical history, family health history, medications and supplements, your past and current dietary intake, stress, sleep and other lifestyle factors.

In between your initial and follow-up consultations I will analyse your case and relevant test results and prepare an initial treatment plan for you.

  • Follow-up consultations are used to deliver and discuss your treatment plan, explain test results and deliver targeted health and dietary education.

  • Well - that depends!

If you are experiencing a chronic or complex health condition, you may need several consultations over an extended period of time. It all depends on the complexity of your case, the rate at which your body responds to dietary, lifestyle and supplement changes and your adherence to the treatment recommendations.

For non-complex/chronic conditions you may require fewer consults.

  • The telehealth consultation is booked and paid for on HealthBank.

At the time of the appointment just log in to HealthBank via your computer or via the HealthBank app on your phone and the consultation will start via video at the scheduled time.

  • I do offer limited consultations in person. Please contact me to discuss whether this is appropriate for you.

  • As a Clinical Nutritionist I can order a large variety of functional medical testing including a range of blood pathology, saliva hormone testing, urine testing, microbiome testing, Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis & Genetic Testing.

Please note that, as a Clinical Nutritionist, any testing I order for you is NOT Medicare rebated and must be paid in full prior to the test being ordered.

  • Some, but not all, private health insurers offer a rebate for Nutritional Consultations.

They may not offer the rebate for online consults.

You will need to check with your health insurer if they do offer a rebate for my services.

  • I certainly can! After an initial consultation and preferably after blood testing and a HTMA, I can recommend practioner-only supplements that are indicated by your signs, symptoms and test results.

  • I will often share a variety of recipes with my clients.

I can prepare weekly or monthly meal plans at an extra fee addition to the consultation fee.

  • Many health conditions develop as a result of an insufficient diet, stress, genetic & lifestyle factors (including shift work).

Clinical Nutritionists look at health from a holistic point of view & understand how all of the body systems interact as well as how nutrients interact with the body (Nutritional Biochemistry) and the genes (Nutrigenomics).

I endeavour to find the root cause of your health issues and address those to achieve resolution rather than just trying to alleviate symptoms.
